Curves of Leominster co-sponsored a blood drive on Nov. 17th. at the
Leominster Elks. It was a great success. The Account Executive from Red
Cross called Curves this morning stating
we had such a good turnout and we passed the goal of donors and blood
collections. Thanks to all who participated and donated. One persons
donation can save 3 lives. What a great gift.
Leominster Elks hosts the Red Cross Blood Drive every Tuesday from 1:00 -
7:00 p.m. Please donate when you can.

Sholan Farms is a premier grower of apples, raspberries and blueberries.
Sholan Farms is operated by the “Friends of Sholan Farms” who are volunteer residents of Leominster and its neighbors (around the USA and abroad). This 501(c)3 non-profit organization was formed in 2001 to continue with the preservation and restoration of the farm. The group has organized operations and fundraising efforts associated with “saving and growing” the farm, and restoring the farm and the orchard to its original splendor.
The Friends of Sholan Farms have devoted countless volunteer efforts to protect, pre-serve, and restore the property and orchard. Plans for this restoration project go beyond tending to the property and orchard and include transforming the farm through the addi¬tion of several important structures: barn, apple storage, equipment building, and outdoor gazebo / bandstand to name a few. The grounds will be open to the public for apple pick¬ing and for passive recreation activities such as hiking, bird watching, caring for the orchard, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and events throughout the year.
