Adult Acne- There are several factors that cause adult acne. Excess
sebum production is one. Sebum is helpful in barrier protection and
assists with skin moisturization.
Stress stimulates the adrenal glands which increases sebum production.
Reducing stress is difficult in our fast paced lives. Build time into
your day for some deep breathes. Burn a relaxing candle and let the
aromatherapy soothe.
In puberty hormonal fluctuations account for sebum build up. As we age these fluctuations usually stabilize. During menstruation hormones
dip and surge producing too much sebum. This can account for
“menstrual flare-ups”.
Excess sebum production can also cause the dead skin cells to become
“sticky” and prevent the natural shedding process. As the skin remains
stuck together the follicles can clog and become infected. Proper skin
care including exfoliation will prevent this.
Often people will stop applying moisturizer when they feel “oily”.
This in turns tells the body to produce more oil. The better way is to
cleanse, tone and moisturize twice a day with an appropriate product.

“In like a lion and out like a lamb” is on old adage for the month of March. In terms of weather that was certainly the case as storm after relentless storm marched across the country. Experts say that the weather conditions did in fact impact real estate sales as buyers stayed indoors and sellers dealt with fallen tree limbs and damp basements.
Lawrence Yun, National Association of Realtors® (NAR) chief economist, said in a recent release, “Some closings were simply postponed by winter storms, but buyers couldn’t get out to look at homes in some areas and that should negatively impact near-term contract activity.”
According to NAR, existing-home sales declined slightly in February, with modest gains in the Northeast and Midwest offset by softer sales in the South and West. Which brings to mind another adage; real estate is local. The real estate trends that occur in Chicago, IL, can be extremely different than the real estate trends in Atlanta, GA. If you view the market graphs provided, you can see the current trend for our area.
With Spring’s welcomed arrival, experts are in agreement that sales should improve. With interest rates still at all time historic lows, and the expanded tax credit in full swing, many are hopeful that April will bring more than just warmer weather.
According to a recent article in the New York Times, many analysts believe a surge in home sales will increase due to the tax credit. Some economists expect a last-minute rush as the April 30th deadline nears and then expect sales to decline modestly in the summer after the tax credit expires.
For the anxious home seller anticipating the April rush, they can better prepare by doing some Spring cleaning. Remove those fallen tree limbs, dry-out that basement, and most importantly, price your home appropriately.

Donna DiMarzio (owner Leominster Curves) would like to thank everyone for their help in making this food drive such a success. It’s nice to work with such community-oriented people and know we are helping and making a difference.
Leominster Curves members and staff raised a total of 867 lbs of food to donate to Ginny’s Helping Hand Food Pantry. Marc Bonneau, Manager of Leominster Hannaford helped Curves by lending a shopping cart for the food collection and handed out flyers to their shoppers throughout the month of March.
