Spotlight on Business: All Points Limousine

All Points Limousine

You might say that Becky Laramee took the scenic route to becoming owner of All Points Limousine.

With a career ranging from selling for Coca-Cola to being an elementary school teacher, Becky has gained experience across several industries. When she and her brother John purchased the company in 2008, they probably didn’t expect to be featured in the trade magazine LCT (Limousine, Charter, & Tour) just two years later.

But that’s exactly what happened, thanks to plenty of energy, great networking, and an eye toward success. LCT selected All Points Limousine as one of five young transportation companies in the United States to be showcased in the Great American Limo Race. The magazine is following each of the companies for 18 months, covering challenges and opportunities involved with new business ownership. The winner will be the company with the largest growth percentage in that timeframe. You can track Becky’s participation in the Great American Limo Race by following her blog entries at http://blogs.lctmag.com/limorace/category/243.aspx.

What’s the best part about being in the Great American Limo Race? Becky says, “I am not just competing with these four transportation businesses from across the country but I am learning from them. Their challenges become my successes.”

While most of their business comes from airport transportation, All Points Limousine has also been busy with weddings in the past few months. They celebrated their two-year anniversary in July, commemorating the event with the purchase of two new vehicles. In addition, the company recently hired a Spanish-speaking chauffeur, which is helping them better serve the Latino community—particularly for Quinceañera celebrations.

As with most businesses, All Points Limousine would like to continue growing and boost sales. They are taking several steps to achieve their objectives, mostly in the area of marketing and communications. One of the company’s goals is for customers to perceive All Points Limousine as a friendly business with a “welcome to the family” feel—something they believe sets them apart from the competition:  “We are a family run business,” Becky says, “and we get excited to welcome a new client into our traveling family. We want each and every client to feel like they are our only client.”

Becky is involved with the North Central Chamber of Commerce and Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce, where she is on the board of several committees. She is also the Treasurer of the Leominster Small Business Association.

With all that drive—no pun intended—it’s no surprise that All Points Limousine is poised for continued success.

All Points Limousine is located at 463 Lancaster Street in Leominster. Feel free to visit them at www.allpointslimoservice.com or call at 1-800-675-4122.

About:

For as long as I can remember I have always had a passion for dogs.  One of my favorite memories as a child was doing my 4th grade science fair project on dogs just so I could show everyone how fun my dog was! I have always found it fascinating that dogs are so animated, lovable and carefree!

I graduated with a degree in Psychology and spent 4 years dedicated to helping less fortunate children and families.  Although I loved helping others I was drawn to the business world.  I moved to Boston in 2003 and got into Corporate America with the intent to gain a better foundation in business.  After obtaining my MBA from Suffolk University in 2008 I achieved a greater understanding of the business world but also became intrigued by the idea of finding a unique career path outside the corporate box.  For 6 years I worked in the corporate world but I was always feeling like there was something missing from my job.  It wasn’t until earlier last year that I made a some big changes in my life and set out to find my true career path.  My yellow lab Gus keeps my husband and I entertained on a daily basis.  His unconditional love and ability to enjoy the simple things in life (a good walk, lots of playing and a good game of fetch!) has made me reevaluate how important it is to enjoy life to the fullest!  I decided to blend multiple aspects of my professional experience with my love of dogs and The Paw Pack came to life!

I founded The Paw Pack with the committment to provide dogs with quality care, plenty of exercise, attention and the opportunity to experience life with their Paw Pack pals while their parents are away! I look forward to working with you and your dog!

I offer the following services for your dogs.  Pricing is based on your location and each service is customized based on the needs of your dog:

Adventure Walks, Runs & Hikes

Paw Pack Playgroups

Dog Taxi Services

Additionally I provide convenient pick-up and drop-off services for the following:

Playgroups

Transportation to vet and grooming appointments

Homeownership is Still the American Dream
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage
NOVEMBER 2010

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) recently released its annual Housing Opportunity Pulse Survey which questioned Americans from across the nation on their attitudes towards homeownership. According to the survey, homeownership still features prominently as the American dream as nearly 8 out of 10 respondents believe buying a home is a good financial decision.

Also according to NAR and its Pending Home Sales Index, pending home sales have increased for the second consecutive month rising 4.3 percent to 82.3 based on contracts signed in August. The data reflects contracts and not closings. A sale is listed as pending when the contract has been signed but the transaction has not closed, though the sale usually is finalized within one or two months of signing.

That number is still low when compared to August of 2009 when it was up 103.0, but it is still a sign of improvement and we’ll take it. It’s clear that we still have a ways to go towards a full housing market recovery. Most industry experts agree that we must have further job creation and healthier consumer confidence to achieve that goal. Those surveyed also agreed that job insecurity and the lack of jobs continue to be the primary obstacle to home ownership and market recovery at this time.

For those in a position to buy, it is still a prime opportunity with historically low interest rates and a wide selection of homes that are more affordable now than ever. NAR’s survey respondents agreed, with more than two-thirds of respondents (68 percent) saying that now is a good time to buy a home.

If you are currently in the market to purchase a home, be aware that industry insiders are watching inflation rates closely right now. If inflation rates begin to rise, then so will mortgage rates. If mortgage rates rise, it could price many buyers out of their dream home.

To see what specific trends are taking place in your market area, view the graph and feel free to contact a Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage sales professional who can provide you with a detailed analysis

Blood drive Tuesday Nov 9–Leominster Elks

November 8, 2010 by admin

The Leominster Small Business Association is sponsoring a blood drive Tuesday Nov 9 from 1-7pm at the Leominster Elks.

Red Cross Stats-

Every four seconds someone in Massachusets needs blood.

More than 3,000 blood donations and needed every day in New England.

The blood used in an emergency needs to be on the shelves BEFORE the event occurs.

A single car accident victim can require as much as 100 pints of blood.

The number one reason people do not donate is that they were never asked. So we are asking. Would you please consider donating?

Thank you in advance for this generous donation.
