About:
I live in Leominster, MA with my Husband Greg and 5-year old daughter Emma. My idea for the Princess Tea Party business came to me after celebrating Emma’s 3rd birthday party, which was a dress-up tea party theme. All the pretty soft pink boas, white gloves and sparkling tiaras were so adorable on the girls! The delicate pink china placed on beautiful white linens and pink tulle bows tied-up on the backs of each chair set the scene for a very special party fit for a princess! All my friends and family were so surprised to see such a lovely tea table for the girls. I truly loved pulling all the details together for a really special day for my daughter. I couldn’t help but to think what a great idea for a business! Shortly after that day I met Jean Casacca at Roma Bakery and we decided to host Miss Emma’s Tea Parties at the bakery. My first party was Valentine’s Day in 2007 with a singing princess character, Sleeping Beauty. It was a very magical tea party and all the little girls were very excited!! Everyone in town quickly learned about the parties, and we had bookings almost every weekend! In addition, I have also been hosting Miss Emma’s Tea Parties at customer’s homes, and other locations of their choice.
Most recently, I have being hosting the newest theme party, “Glamour Princess Tea Party”. This has been the biggest hit since I have been in business! The Glamour Princess Tea Parties are held at Mia Bella Spa, located at 12 Main Street, Leominster. Camie Dondero, owner of Mia Bella Spa and I got together and created this new idea together just before opening the grand opening of the Spa. Little girls have glamorous updos adorned with sparkling tiaras, have their nails painted, delight in a princess tea party, play musical games with prizes, and have a digital picture in Miss Emma’s Princess throne to take home as a keepsake of their day! It is truly a glamorous day for any little girl!
What makes Miss Emma’s Tea unique?
Offering something this unique and special for birthday celebrations for girls in this area that is not overpriced for what you get is certainly nice to find! You have to have passion for you business and love what you do to make it. I really enjoy teaching the girls how to be polite at the tea table, and what it means to be a good friend. I also enjoy watching how much fun they have playing games, like pass the glass slipper, or doing a special dance of their own style, or playing London bridges. I love how their faces light up when see how pretty they look and feel all dressed up in a princess gown with a sparkling tiara! It’s picture perfect party! I feel so lucky to have found a business that I am so passionate about, and something really special and different to offer little girls!

The Columbia Hotel was the hotel in Leominster at the turn of the (last) century. Built around1892 beside the train depot, it was also home to the Wilder Lodge of the Masons until 1920. It ceased being a hotel in 1930. The building is now mixed-use with beautiful apartments on the upper floors and a variety of businesses on the first floor.
In 2008, Masons Hall was carefully restored to its former beauty. New maple flooring was installed, trim was restored using quarter-sawn oak, accessible bathrooms were created, air conditioning provided, new lighting installed and the kitchen re-created.
